Oklahoma ranks 3rd in the nation in the occurrence of Intimate Partner Violence. According to the 2010 National Intimate Partner and Sexual Violence Survey (NISVS):
- 4.7 million women are assaulted,
- 686,000 women are raped, and
- 2.3 million women are stalked by intimate partners annually.
- In Oklahoma, 49% of women and 40% of men have experienced intimate partner violence at some time in their lives.
